Description

Jonas Tegman and Emil Svärd founded Nolimit City in 2014. Both already had over a decade of experience in the iGaming scene, with Tegman previously working for NetEnt as a senior software architect. The two wanted to develop games in line with current trends while exploring outlandish themes, which led to the creation of Nolimit City. In less than a year, the company released its first game, The Creepy Carnival. Its unique, unsettling soundtrack and raw but thrilling graphics got many players hooked and set Nolimit City on the path to success. Over the next few years, they launched smash hits like Oktoberfest and Sushi Mania, the first slot in the Kitchen Drama series. The developer showed no signs of slowing down and continued producing high-quality slots using modern tools like HTML5, Javascript, WebGL, Pixi, Typescript, and GSAP. In 2018, Nolimit City recorded major milestones by obtaining licenses from the UK and Swedish gambling commissions. The year 2021 was another standout one for the company, as it bagged several awards, including the Casino Grounds Award for Game Provider of the Year, the iGaming IDOL Award for Innovator of the Year, the BigWinBoard Awards for Provider of the Year, and Soundtrack of the Year, and the AskGamblers Award for Game of the Year for Fire in the Hole xBomb. It also added licenses from Ontario and Romania to its portfolio, further solidifying its presence in the global gaming scene. Having spent eight years as an independent developer in the bustling gaming industry, Nolimit City was acquired by Evolution Gaming for a deal worth €340 million in 2022. Through this move, the company entered into the US online gaming market in 2024. Nolimit City has continued to release games under its brand name and has even gone on to obtain licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority and Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. Nolimit City only develops video slots and has so far released 80+ titles. While its library might not be as extensive compared to other software providers, few can boast the same level of creativity and innovation. The company is always looking to redefine the concept of video slots and push boundaries. Nolimit City titles also come with modern features like xBomb, xWays, and xNudge. Games are designed with HTML5 technology to enhance cross-platform compatibility and feature favorable RTPs and max payouts. Some of the more popular titles from this provider include San Quentin, which can land players up to 150,000x their bet, and Deadwood, a Wild West-themed slot offering 576 ways to win.
